    The error mentioned in the iThemes Security 5.3.0 Error article appears to have been an issue with the update process, not the plugin itself. Deleting, reinstalling, and reactivating the plugin resolved the issue.

    The update to iThemes Security 5.3.0 white screened the site. The plugins was deleted to fix the problem. It was then reinstalled without being activated.
